This site is a repository of learning theories. While not as detailed as some textbooks, this site provides a useful overview of educational basis for our tech integration practices.

This site hosts a wealth of musical games that truly innovative and offer high relative advantage

Note Flight

This online music editing software has a free version that helps students complete complex musical assignments and is a more cost effective alternative to Finale.

Module 3

Flubaroo

This addon to Google Sheets makes distribution and grading of simple quizzes a breeze. Very useful for knowledge checks at the end of classwork.

Google Drive

This is the heart of the Google Apps universe. It has everything you need to run a classroom in the 21st century.

Module 4

Powtoon

This presenter uses animations to help make presentations more engaging. It is an online app with free and paid levels.

Prezi

This Presenter uses a non-linear master slide that can be zoomed in on to focus the viewer on particular content. It is a free web based app with paid levels.

Module 5

Loop Labs

Looplabs is a free online loop editor with free and paid levels. This is a good first step before something like Fruity Loops or Garageband.

Hooktheory

Hooktheory is bringing theory teaching into the 21st Century with online tools that make teaching abstract or difficult concepts more accessible to students without notational skills.

Twisted Wave

Twisted Wave is a simple online audio recorder and basic editor. This is a good first step before introducing programs like Audacity. It also has export functions to Google Drive.

A great platform to gather visual inspiration for any project.

Spotify

Spotify brings the worlds music to you anytime and allows students to experience music they would not normally listen to.

WordPress.org

This design framework allows you to build any website you can think of and with a user base of hundreds of thousands and thousands of plugins the only limit is your imagination.

An ebook generator that completely free to use, intuitive, and allows for the importation of original visuals.

Pixlr

An online image manipulation tool that has both free and paid levels as well as a desktop app. While not as powerful as Photoshop it has more functionality than Google Draw with basic selection and filters.

This site contains a lot of good simulations on science material which can be used to integrate science into any subject.

CK12.org

This site offers a lot of high quality science simulations for integration into any topic.

This is a free Tone Generator App for iOS devices that can help deliver both mobile and music/science cross curricular activities.

Audio Test Tone

This is a free Tone Generator App for Android devices that can help deliver both mobile and music/science cross curricular activities.

Decibel 10th Professional Noise Meter

This App is a free Decibel reader for iOS devices that can help deliver cross curricular Music/Science lessons.

Sound Meter

This App is a free Decibel reader for Android devices that can help deliver cross curricular Music/Science lessons.

This iOS app will allow students to play a virtual keyboard and see the accompanying pitches displayed on a staff which could help students during Theory work.

Synesthesia

Synesthesia provides piano students with alternate notation which allows them to practice the piano. The App can listen to their playing and adapt to speed as well as offer single handed practice.

Petralex Hearing Aid

This App can allow students to boost the sound around them so that they can hear more effectively. It can also test student hearing.

Aural Book

This resource can help students to sight sing by listening to their efforts and offering gameplay to make learning more fun. It is also aligned with the AMEB sight singing standards.

Simple Songwriter

This iOS app can lower the bar for music composition thus making it more accessible to students. It helps with melody writing and chord selection.

Figure

Figure is an iOS app that combines song writing capability and social media so that students can share their compositions and interact with like minded composers.

Piano Maestro

Piano Maestro is a piano practicing tool that actively listens to student efforts and rewards them for proper playing. It has a library of hundreds of songs to make independent practice more productive.
